Today I was driving in my jeep with the top down. Wearing my red bandanna and groovy sun glasses, I cruised flying high on an over pass. As I came down the ramp, I felt like I defined freedom. I wanted to throw my hands straight up in the air like I was on a ride at an amusement park, for safety sake, instead I let a primal scream soar up to the blue sky filled with billowing white clouds. The young man in the car behind me roared past me with his moon roof open. He must have felt it too, freedom. He stretched one hand high trough the open roof and gave me the peace sign. Ah, a kindred spirit I thought, smiling bright, I extended my left hand high waving "Peace" to my brother then I laughed uncontrollably. Passion and Prostate

It was early, the sun had not come up over the chain link fence yet and the pool mates at the local Y were in the pool jogging. Don plowed through the water in the deep end talking to Hans about matters of the prostate and to my right two women were talking about passion. Ok baby face, before you wrinkle your nose and let the milk from your morning breakfast cereal start to come back up in disgust, get over it; health and passion top the list of hot senior topics. Seniors have a lot on their plate and they need to be healthy for all those passions. You read "passion" and thought sex, right? The 4 Noble Truths, according to Buddha

I don't know where this is coming from as I am only 7 weeks old in this new body; but, I must write about the 4 Noble Truths. These are not exactly as I learned them in the last life but, they are 4 Noble Truths as I know them in this lifetime. The First Noble Truth is "Yelping Low"- Yelping low is an uncontrollable sound that rises on a wave of deep pain. The sound flows out right before total release comes. For example, upon waking with a full bladder after sleeping for 8 hours, one may yelp low. Yelping low happens in a wake state, with the feeling of intense pain with the urge to let go; but, one consciously chooses to hold on until help arrives. Another example of Yelping Low is when one has to leave a familiar pack of parents, brothers, sisters and humans. The pain can be deep; Yelping Low helps to let go of the love of the past and move to the love of the future. When you let go and ride the wave toward the future, the Universe rewards you.
